Damian Segal has over 20 years’ experience in property renovations from small scale to the current day larger projects. Damian started in the business in the late 90’s as a tiler’s apprentice. From initially very small projects, he was awarded a 9000 square foot project in a listed building in 2002, the brief being to change a largely commercial buildings use to 4 residential units. This was done with the help of a designer and a team Damian employed to complete the project. This was his first experience of managing a large project, and on successful completion, this led to the formation of Damian Segal Property Renovations in 2004, which still employs a number of the original team.
This background has enabled Damian to gain an extensive knowledge and understanding of the various phases of a project which helps when managing them to a successful conclusion. Damian is involved in all projects, from initial meeting and pricing to planning and ultimately overseeing a highly skilled work force through to project completion.
Regular contact with the onsite foreman and client is an essential part of the process and ensures Damian sees first-hand what is happening on a day to day basis and whether it can be improved upon. To that end we regulate the number of projects we do simultaneously to ensure standards do not drop as we are always striving to ensure the highest standards within both budget and time frame. Damian believes the emphasis should be on customer service and maintaining a good working relationship with client, architect and contractor, which greatly improves the chances of a successful project.
